"your ppp ride was my first century. my companions and i had a great time. i'm originally from the cranbury, dayton deans area, and to come back many years later to ride the area on a bike was pure heaven. granted it'more built up than when i was younger,but there were stretches of road that just whisked me back to my farmish childhood. the route was fantastic...not to many hills and the rest stops were more than adequate. cue sheets were no essential as the road markings were accurate and visible. thanks again for a great riding experience."

"To all the PPP coordinators and volunteers:

My girlfriend and I participated in yesterdays Pumpkin Patch Pedal. It was our 1st ride with your club and we had a wonderful time.

Your course was beautiful and very well marked, we had little need to resort to the excellent cue sheet. (we did miss a turn after the road scrapping but recovered before too many miles passed).

We met some very nice folks... The volunteers were so pleasant and helpful, the food was wonderful and the riders were safe and knowledgeable.

It was a very pleasant ride and I took some wonderful pictures. The rolling fields of corn, pumpkins and wild flowers were so beautiful. It really helped to lift our “spirits” for the coming season.

As an event organizer (NYC Swim Series), I know of the workload that goes into such events. I/We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your event.

I do have one question – we registered day of, and were hoping we might be able to purchase a couple of T-shirts (one XL/L and one S). If you have any left over we would love to purchase them if possible.

"Although I have tried for several years now, this is the first year I have actually ridden the Pumpkin Patch Pedal. I rode the metric century this morning and it was great. Well marked route (except for where the road crews removed the pumpkin after Allentown!), well-stocked rest stops, and great scenery. I'll definitely be back next year.

If you happen to have any extra T-shirts, I'd like to purchase a Large. I got an XL and it's quite a bit too big. Just let me know.

SIBA has been in the press. Our annual event, the Pumpkin Patch Pedal century ride has the distinction of being the "BEST RIDE IN NJ" as voted by BICYCLING Magazine (October 2002 issue, page 93). We also garnered a choice mention (and great publicity) in RIDE magazine, which specializes in East Coast cycling events. These awards and press is probably an important factor in the great attendance we had at this year's event.
